Here's Pacquiao vs Cotto - Fight Update. Manny Pacquiao's rigid training practice in Baguio City is intensifying. According to Coach Freddie Roach, he was amazed by Manny's faster than ever speed and his punches had become much stronger. Manny is doing his best because Cotto is not the kind of opponent he can take lightly. Aside from strong punches, Cotto also has a big solid body.
Meanwhile, Bob Arum, Pacquiao's promoter, arrived in Baguio City to watch Manny's training. Arum, seeing the plight of the Filipino people , donated Php 1 million for the typhoon Ondoy survivors. Thank you Mr. Arum.
According to Manny, he targets to take the WBO welterweight title from its current holder, Miguel Cotto. If Manny will win in this fight, his 6 boxing titles will become 7, which means first time in the history of international boxing that a single professional boxer holds 7 different weight division titles at the same time.
Manny Pacquiao currently holds the following major boxing titles:
1st Title:
WBC Flyweight Title 1998-12-04 Chatchai Sasakul Phuttamonthon
2nd Title:
IBF Super Bantamweight Title 2001-06-23 Lehlohonolo Ledwaba
3rd Title:
The Ring Featherweight Title 2003-11-15 Marco Antonio Barrera
4th Title:
WBC & Ring Super Featherweight Title 2008-03-15 Juan Manuel Marquez
5th Title:
WBC Lightweight Title 2008-06-28 David Diaz
6th Title:
IBO & Ring Light Welterweight Title 2009-05-02 Ricky Hatton
Above all, I want Manny to win so that a high possibility of Pacquiao vs Mayweather will be decided. It's really exciting.
