The Roxas-Sanchez Wedding entourage composed of political and business personalities witnessed the once-in-a-lifetime moment as Sen.Mar Roxas and broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez walked down the aisle today 3:00PM at Sto. Domingo Church in their Filipiniana-themed wedding.

The expected grand reception at the Araneta Coliseum will no longer be held as the couple had decided to give the reception money of 2.2 million to different organizations for the victims of typhoon Ondoy and Pepeng. According to reports, the couple donated to Caritas Philippines, P500,000; ABS-CBN Foundation Sagip Kapamilya, P500,000; GMA Kapuso Foundation, P500,000; Philippine National Red Cross - National Blood Service, P250,000; Philippine National Red Cross, for the account of typhoon Ondoy, P250,000; Igan Foundation, P100,000; and ABS-CBN Foundation Kapamilya Shower Na Project, P100,000.

Mar-Korina Wedding update

Here's the latest Mar-Korina wedding update after the wedding date has been reset to October 27, 2009 (originally October 23rd). The reset, according to TV Broadcaster Korina Sanchez, was to accommodate the arrival of friends and relatives abroad who will attend their much anticipated church wedding, and that the venue for the reception will not be available on October 23.

Recently, Korina Sanchez said that they have decided to cancel the wedding reception because the budget they have intended for it will be used to help the victims of typhoon Ondoy and typhoon Pepeng. Korina added that the wedding gifts that they will receive will also be given to the typhoon victims.

No other change has been made. The Mar-Korina wedding will be on October 27th, 3:00PM at the Sto. Domingo Church.
