The much-anticipated fight of the year for the WBO welterweight title has began with the Pacquiao-Cotto weigh in at the Grand Garden Arena on November 13. Manny Pacquiao hit the scale at 144 lbs while Miguel Cotto tipped it to the catch weight of 145 lbs. Check out the Pacquiao-Cotto weigh in video below. While Coach Freddie Roach is busy with his verbal sparring with Cotto's trainer Joe Santiago, Manny on the other side is busy with his stuff. I thought he's gonna throw that shoes to the audience.

Pacquiao vs Chiongbian for 2010

Pacquiao vs Chiongbian for 2010. It is a public knowledge that popular boxing champ Manny Pacquiao is running for congressman of Sarangani province. His ultimate rival will be Businessman Roy Chiongbian. Chiongbian officially declared Friday his candidacy for the 2010 polls under the Sarangani Reconciliation and Reformation Organization (SARRO) Party, the local party founded by his late father, Rep. James L. Chiongbian and his mother, former Gov. Priscilla L. Chiongbian.

The Sarangani Reconciliation and Reformation Organization (Sarro) Party is allied with the the administration Lakas-Kampi Christian-Muslim Democrats Party.

Manny Pacquiao had previously attempted to defeat Rep. Darlene Antonino-Custodio for the first congressional district of South Cotabato in 2007 elections but failed.

Well, let's see if Pacquiao's popularity will beat Chiongbian in the 2010 polls.

Manny Pacquiao vs Jose Luis Castillo

Manny Pacquiao vs Jose Luis Castillo. Yes, Jose Luis Castillo, the 35-year-old former WBC lightweight champion who’s had some great fights with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and the late Diego Corrales, is scheduled to sparr with Manny Pacquiao tomorrow in Baguio City. The sparring is part of Manny's rigorous training for the Pacquiao vs Cotto fight on November 14.
Castillo had fought Mayweather twice in 2002, and came close to winning the first bout. He squared off with Corrales also twice, winning the second by knockout. He also fought Ricky Hatton in 2007 but lost via knockout.
According to Coach Freddie Roach, he watched Manny spar a total of 31 rounds after two weeks. Two days ago, Manny had sparred seven rounds and Coach Roach is satisfied so far with his performance.
