New Google Phone Nexus One | Nexus One vs Droid

New Google Phone Nexus One | Nexus One vs Droid
Droid has a new competitor - the new Google phone Nexus One. So what about the Nexus One vs Droid? Let's check out the major differences between these two android phones.

The Nexus One runs on a 1-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, while the Motorola Droid has a 550-MHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor; the iPhone 3GS runs on a 600-MHz chip. The Nexus One also has twice the RAM of the Droid or the iPhone, with 512 MB on-board.

The Nexus One sports a 3.7-inch OLED 480-by-800 display; while the Droid's display is actually slightly larger at 3.7-inch and 480-by-854 pixels but uses TFT-LCD technology. OLED screens are typically brighter and more color-rich than their TFT-LCD counterparts.

The Nexus One weighs lighter and smaller at 130 grams and 11.5 millimeters thick than the Droid, which weighs 169 grams and 13.7 millimeters thick.

The Nexus One comes with Android 2.1, the latest update to the Android 2.0 operating system introduced with the Droid.

Motorola Droid release date will be October 30 this year.
The new Motorola Droid comes with a slide-out keyboard with a soft-touch rubberized finish, that adds to its thickness making it just slightly thicker than the iPhone 3GS. Running on v.2.0 of Android with a significantly upgraded user interface, there’s a Texas Instruments OMAP3430 processor (and is hailed as the fastest Android smartphone ever) under the stylish metal chassis.

Droid - Droid Commercial

The Droid commercial attacks the iPhone's lack of a physical keyboard, inability to multitask with third-party applications, customization, running widgets, allowing open development and absence of a camera flash. It says everything iPhones don't do, Droid does. According to the commercial, Droid debuts November. Watch the Droid commercial video below.
