Augustana | Augustana Band From San Diego

Augustana is Greyson Michael Chance's favourite band. Greyson thinks the Augustana is one of the most underrated bands that has ever set foot on the earth. To him, Augustana has a good concept of rock and folk music so it’s sad for him that the band is so unknown.

Augustana is an American rock band from San Diego best known for their singles, “Boston” and “Sweet and Low.”

Anyways, here's the lyrics of "Sweet and Low":

Anywhere you go, anyone you meet,

Remember that your eyes can be your enemies,

I said, well hell is so close

And heaven's out of reach

I ain't giving up quite yet,

I've got too much to lose

Hold me down, sweet and low, little girl

Hold me down, sweet and low, and I'll carry you home

Hold me down, sweet and low, little girl

Hold me down, and I'll carry you home

Rain is gonna fall, the sun is gonna shine,

The wind is gonna blow, the water's gonna rise

She said, when the day comes, look into my eyes

No one's giving up quite yet,

We've got too much to lose

Hold me down, sweet and low, little girl

Hold me down, sweet and low, and I'll carry you home

Hold me down, sweet and low, little girl

Hold me down,

And I'll carry you all the way,

You say you're fine

But you're still young, and out of line

All I need is to turn around,

To make it last, to make it count

You're gonna make the same mistakes

That put my momma in her grave

I don't wanna be alone

Hold me down, sweet and low, little girl

Hold me down, sweet and low, and I'll carry you home

Hold me down, sweet and low, little girl

Hold me down, and I'll carry you home

Surely, this boy got an awesome talent. Watch the videos of his original compositions of "Broken Hearts" and "Stars" as proof. So what inspires this young talent? Here's what he has to say:

I am very inspired by Lady Gaga and Augustana. Lady Gaga is a freak but she has so much talent and her style of music is what I would like mine to be when im older. Augustana is one of the most underated bands I think ever to step the planet. They have so much talent it is not funny. They have such a good concept with folk and rock. It is very sad that they are so unknown.
