Matt Damon dead? Fact or Rumor? There was an unconfirmed report that Matt Damon's dead body was found Wednesday in California's Palo Verde mountain area by an Imperial County Sheriff's Department deputy. The cause of the 38-year old Hollywood actor's death was still unknown. Matt Damon was on a camping trip when he was officially reported missing on Friday. A day before he was found, he had sent a text message to his friend telling that he was out of water and needed help.
