New Orleans comedian and activist Ian Hoch started writing the song Me and Drew as a fan tribute to Drew Brees. According to Hoch, he wrote the song while traveling in Europe in summer of 2010.

"Me and Drew" is a song I actually started writing while traveling in Europe this summer. I couldn't watch the first game of the season where I was and I got this crazy idea to write a song about the Saints - then somewhere along the line it became all about Drew Brees and it evolved into a solid love ballad.

Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris Engaged

Hugh Hefner, 84-year-old founder of Playboy magazine is engaged to his 24-year-old girlfriend and Playmate Crystal Harris. A Playboy rep confirmed to UsMagazine.com the engagement which Hefner had first tweeted on Sunday.

"When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears," the Girls Next Door star wrote. "This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory...I got what I was hoping for for Christmas...Crystal's love."

It will be the third marriage for the famous bachelor Hefner. The first was with first wife Mildred in 1949 and they have two children before divorcing in 1959. Then the second marriage was with Playmate Kimberley Conrad in 1989 to whom he also has two sons. The Hefner-Conrad's divorce was finalized just last year.

2010 Time Person of the Year: Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Elliot Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO and co-founder is 2010 Time Person of the Year. He is chosen for connecting more than half a billion people and mapping the social relations among them, for creating a new system of exchanging information and for changing how we live our lives, Time said.

Choosing Zuckerberg was unethical given Time's relationship with Facebook. Saying that Zuckerberg's company allows people to connect in a new, empowering way is disengenuous and cynical. The point of FB is to make money on advertising and suck people's demographic info out of them for the advertisers and content partners such as Time.

Stem Cell Transplant as Cure for HIV | 'Berlin Patient' cured of HIV

There's a recent medical breakthrough believing the stem cell transplant as cure for HIV. Doctors believe an HIV-positive man who underwent a stem cell transplant has been cured as a result of the procedure, as reported by The Huffington Post.

Timothy Ray Brown, also known as the "Berlin Patient," received the transplant in 2007 as part of a lengthy treatment course for leukemia. His doctors recently published a report in the journal Blood affirming that the results of extensive testing "strongly suggest that cure of HIV infection has been achieved."

This stem cell transplant as cure for HIV can give hope for those suffering from the virus, but wait. Here's another report showing another perspective from hotair.com:

The transplant appeared to wipe out both diseases, giving hope to doctors, but Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, who has been studying HIV/AIDS for almost 30 years, said while this is an interesting proof of concept, it’s absurdly impractical.

“It’s hard enough to get a good compatible match for a transplant like this,” Fauci told FoxNews.com, “But you also have to find compatible donor that has this genetic defect, and this defect is only found in 1 percent of the Caucasian population and zero percent of the black population. This is very rare.”…

“This is not prime time to me at all,” he said. “This is a very unusual situation that has little practical application for a simple reason. This donor not only had to be a good compatible match, but the donor had to have a genetic defect of cells that do not express the receptor that the HIV virus needs to enter the cell.”

Fauci also pointed to the fact that this transplant process is not only expensive, it’s incredibly painful and complicated, and requires the patient to start a whole new regimen of drugs.

Hubert Webb and Five Others, acquitted of Visconde Massacre Case: After 15 years of incarceration, Visconde massacre suspects Hubert Webb, son of former senator and 5 others namely, Antonio "Tony Boy" Lejano, son of actress Pinky de Leon; Michael Gatchalian and Miguel Rodriguez, sons of prominent lawyers; Peter Estrada, son of a wealthy businessman; Pyke Fernandez, son of a retired commodore; and former police officer Gerardo Biong, were acquitted by the Supreme Court. With 7 justices voting for acquittal, 4 dissenting with the majority opinion, and 4 abstentions, the high court has allowed Hubert Webb and five others to be freed.

With the acquittal ruling, any filing for an appeal is definitely impossible due to the doctrine of double jeopardy.

In a press conference, SC spokesman Jose Midas Marquez said the decision is couched on “the failure of the prosecution to prove their guilt beyond reasonable doubt.”

“The majority is questioning the quality of the testimonies [of witnesses]…and their inherent inconsistencies,” he said.

The Supreme Court’s ruling did not give a closure to the decade long case. Rather it has provoked questions like, “ Who really killed Estrellita Vizconde and her daughters Carmela and Jennifer?”

So, Monday's scheduled New York Giants-Minnesota Vikings game at Metrodome was moved to Detroit's Ford Field. The game will be televised on Fox only in the New York and Minneapolis markets.

While there is no charge for admission, fans will need a ticket for the game, which begins at 7:20. Tickets can be obtained free of charge starting at 9 a.m. today at the Ford Field box office. Anyone with a ticket stub for Sunday’s Packers-Lions game can use that for admission to the game.

All tickets will be good for unassigned general-admission seats, though fans with tickets to the originally scheduled game will have preferred seating. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

"Of all the debris streams Earth passes through every year, the Geminids' is by far the most massive," says Cooke. "When we add up the amount of dust in the Geminid stream, it outweighs other streams by factors of 5 to 500."

According to RadarOnline.com, Aguilera’s team is fighting back against the alleged hacker who her rep says stole the photos. The photos show her wearing nothing but pasties and a few strands of fabric.

“The photos were taken in the privacy of Ms. Aguilera’s home and were used only in a personal exchange between the star and her stylist,” the rep says.

2012 Olympic Coin: Filipino design chosen for 2012 Olympic coin

That's the winning design for 2012 Olympic coin. Yes, a Filipino's design for 2012 Olympic coin was chosen to be printed on millions of 50-pence, the biggest coin circulating in Great Britain.

According to reports, of the more than 30,000 people, mostly Brits who submitted designs to the biggest ever competition held by the Currency Manufacturer Royal Mint, Roderick Enriquez, a graphic designer based in London is the only Asian. Such a rare and distinct honor for the Philippines.

Roderick Enriquez could not believe to this day that his coin design would become one of the treasured mementos for the 2012 London Olympics.

Enriquez received one gold and one silver coin bearing his Olympic design. The commemorative coins will become part of the British Museum.

She was informed by her doctors that further cancer treatment would be unproductive. Elizabeth Edwards has posted a message to friends that she is resting at home in Chapel Hill, N.C. with family and friends. In her Facebook page, Edwards posted:

“I have said before that I do not know what the most important lesson is that I will ever teach my children, Cate and Emma Claire and Jack. I do know that when they are older and telling their own children about their grandmother, they will be able to say that she stood in the storm, and when the wind did not go her way — and surely it has not — she adjusted her sails.”
