HTC EVO 4G as Engadget described it, is Sprint's Android-powered knight in superphone armor. Known by its codename, the Supersonic, this is the first 4G smartphone to launch in the United States using Sprint's WiMax network. The price nor the release date is not yet announced, but, according to Sprint, HTC EVO 4G is expected to be shipped this summer.
So, what's great about the HTC EVO 4G?
The phone's got a 480x800 4.3-inch WVGA display with a Snapdragon QSD8650 1GHz processor under the hood, a 1GB of built-in memory and 512MB of RAM storage. The battery is bigger than the HD2, and the camera is 8 megapixel with flash, that's capable of 720p video, and is augmented by a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera for good measure. The phone features HDMI out, 802.11b/g WiFi, and an 8GB microSD card. The real kicker is its support for WiMAX.
