Les Paul, the inventor of the solid-body electric guitar, "The Log" died August 13, 2009 in White Plains, New York at the age of 94 due to pneumonia complications. Les Paul was a Grammy Award-winning guitar virtuoso. He played a key role in developing the eight-track tape recorder used in multitracking.
