Hurricane Felecia | Hurricane Felicia

Hurricane Felicia, which peaked on Thursday as a category 4 hurricane with winds of 140 mph, has weakened Friday to a category 2 as it headed toward Hawaii. Felicia may continue to wane, but forecasters have not discounted the threat of flooding on the island chain.

Felicia is located about 1190 miles of east of Hilo, Hawaii, while moving west-northwest. Maximum winds remain at 100 mph.

The forecast continues to indicate that Hurricane Felicia is expected to reach Hawaii by Monday.
