New Orleans comedian and activist Ian Hoch started writing the song Me and Drew as a fan tribute to Drew Brees. According to Hoch, he wrote the song while traveling in Europe in summer of 2010.
"Me and Drew" is a song I actually started writing while traveling in Europe this summer. I couldn't watch the first game of the season where I was and I got this crazy idea to write a song about the Saints - then somewhere along the line it became all about Drew Brees and it evolved into a solid love ballad.
