It's confirmed. Sen. Loren Legarda will run for Vice-President in the 2010 Presidential elections. Her running-mate is not yet confirmed, but recent reports revealed a possible Escudero-Legarda tandem. Sen. Legarda is running under a "pro-poor, pro-environment" platform.
"We all need a strong economy but it should be felt by every sector and every Filipino. No Filipino should die for lack of money for hospitalization or lack of medicine. No Filipino should die of hunger because they have no food. We should take care of the farmers and the fishermen. We should help feed the people who are feeding us," she said.
Sen. Legarda further told reporters that she will remain in the opposition even though she's running for Vice-President.
