Watch Ghost Adventures Live at the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum.

Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum was formerly known as the Weston State Hospital. The hospital's main building is one of the largest hand-cut stone masonry buildings in the United States, and, as Weston Hospital Main Building, was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1990. Originally intended as a place of rest and healing, the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum was anything but a sanctuary for the insane. It was a playground for despair, and the cries of tortured souls still resonate within its walls.
