The Apollo Alliance is a coalition of labor, business, environmental, and community leaders working to catalyze a clean energy revolution that will put millions of Americans to work in a new generation of high-quality, green-collar jobs. Inspired by the Apollo space program, we promote investments in energy efficiency, clean power, mass transit, next-generation vehicles, and emerging technology, as well as in education and training. Working together, we will reduce carbon emissions and oil imports, spur domestic job growth, and position America to thrive in the 21st century economy.
I think it's the right move because an aim to catalyze a clean energy revolution will not definitely come into fruition if it is done only by a single institution or organization. Since all people of all sectors will be affected by any global environmental problems, all must work well to save our planet. Since the present problem on environment is global in nature, I hope the vision of the Apollo Alliance will be pushed through not only in the American continent but also expand to other continents of the world.
As the biggest economic in the world, America also produce most CO2 and maybe some other harmful (for both human and the environment) gas. The ACES can limit the discharge amount of this kind of gas. And at the same time, it creates millions of green jobs for the severe labor market.
ReplyDeleteAmong the regulations of the ACES, we can found that it include many elements of the New Apollo program. The most obvious one, they both advocate clean energy.
