Adam Lambert AMA performance video

Sponsored Links

Below is the Adam Lambert AMA performance video which caused outraged for its racy moves. The said performance video was edited by Dick Clarkson productions for the West Coast viewing. Lambert seemed surprised that anyone would be offended by his performance.
“It’s a shame because I think that there’s a double standard going on in the entertainment community right now. Female performers have been doing this for years — pushing the envelope about sexuality — and the minute a man does it, everybody freaks out. It’s time to take risks, be a little more brave, time to open people’s eyes and if it offends them, then maybe I’m not for them,” Lambert told Rolling Stone.
Personally, I don't like the choreography. People were right in their comments when they said the moves are way too racy. But I guess, that’s what the message of the song implies. It’s just that Lambert interpreted the song in a way that made the performance looked too dirty.

Why is Oprah ending her show?

Why is Oprah ending her show? Oprah Winfrey announced on her show Friday morning confirming the end of her talk show in September 2011. With teary eyes and a voice full of emotions, here's what she said:
"After much prayer, and months of careful thought, I've decided that next season -- Season 25 -- will be the last season of 'The Oprah Winfrey Show,'" Winfrey said Friday. "And over the next couple of days, you may hear a lot of speculation in the press about why I am making this decision now, and that will mostly be conjecture. So I wanted you to hear this directly from me.

"Twenty-four years ago, on Sept. 8, 1986, I went live from Chicago to launch the first national "Oprah Winfrey Show." I was beyond excited and as you all might expect, a little nervous. I knew then what a miraculous opportunity I had been given, but I certainly never could have imagined the yellow brick road of blessings that have led me to this moment with you. [Her voice grows thick with emotion] These years with you, our viewers, have enriched my life beyond all measure, and you all have graciously invited me into your living rooms, into your kitchens and into your lives.

"And for some of you longtime Oprah viewers, you have literally grown up with me. We've grown together. You've had your families and you've raised your children and you left a spot for me in your morning or your afternoon, depending on when the Oprah show airs in your town. So I just wanted to say that whether you've been here with me from the beginning or you came on board last week, I want you all to know that my relationship with you is one that I hold very dear, and your trust in me -- the sharing of your precious time with me every day -- has brought me the greatest joy I have ever known.

"So here we are, halfway through Season 24 and it still means as much to me to spend an hour with you as it did back in 1986. So why walk away and make next season the last? Here is the real reason. I love this show. This show has been my life. And I love it enough to know when it's time to say goodbye. Twenty-five years feels right in my bones and feels right in my spirit. It's the perfect number. The exact right time. ...

"So I hope that you will take this 18-month ride with me, right through to the final show."

Alexandra Kerry see through dress

Alexandra Kerry wore a see-through dress when she attended the Cannes Film Festival in 2004 to present her short film, "The Last Full Measure." This was also during the height of her father John Kerry's campaign for the US presidency.

On Thursday morning at about 12:40 a.m., Alexandra Kerry was arrested by Los Angeles police and charged for DUI (Driving Under Influence) in Hollywood, CA. Officers say they stopped Alexandra Kerry under suspicion of being under the influence. She was released at 5:25 a.m. after posting $5,000 bail.
"Alexandra Kerry was pulled over for an expired registration and was released after the results of a breathalyzer test at the police station were under the legal limit," says Jodi Seth, spokeswoman for the Massachusetts Democrat. "Senator Kerry supports his daughter and will have no further comment on a private matter."

Oprah ending show - Oprah Winfrey Network

Oprah is ending show. Oprah Winfrey will announce on her Friday show that she is ending her 25-year-old talk show on September 9, 2011 in its 25th season. But fans of Oprah should not be sad because the queen of daytime television will not forever be gone on the spotlight. Oprah’s decision to end her show comes because she is ready to launch her own cable network. Oprah Winfrey, partnering with Discovery Communications, will take the Discovery Heath Network and change it into the “Oprah Winfrey Network".
“The sun will set on the Oprah show as its 25th season draws to a close on Sept. 9, 2011,” Tim Bennett, the president of Ms. Winfrey’s production company, Harpo, said in a letter to her 214 local TV stations on Thursday evening. She will appear on her cable channel, called OWN: the Oprah Winfrey Network, in some form. But “The Oprah Winfrey Show” will no longer be.
