Mary Kay Letourneau, now Mary Kay Fualaau, was a schoolteacher arrested on February 26, 1997 and convicted on August 7, 1997 of the statutory rape of one of her students, Vili Fualaau, a 13-year old boy, with whom Mary kay, mother of four had a longtime extramarital affair during the boy's teenage years.

After being released from jail on January 6, 1998, Mary Kay was arrested for violating the conditions of her suspended sentence when she was discovered having sexual intercourse with Vili in a car on February 3, 1998. Additionally, Mary Kay had not completed her treatment program for sexual deviancy. She was sent back to jail and served 7 1/2 years.

She gave birth to two children by her underage lover: Audrey Lokelani Fualaau (1997) and Georgia Alexis (1998). Mary Kay Letourneau and Vili Fualaau married in 2005, after he became an adult. Mary Kay divorced her first husband in 1999.

The same sex scandal happened to Kristy Sanchez-Trujillo, 33, a Social Studies teacher who confessed had sexual relationship with her 13-year-old student off campus. Kristy Sanchez-Trujillo, single with 3 kids had confided the inappropriate relationship with her co-teacher who in turn reported the same to the police. Trujillo, charged with rape was fired by APS.
