Lou Dobbs is leaving CNN. On his November 11 Wednesday night show, Lou Dobbs announced he is leaving the network and that tonight's show will be his last broadcast on CNN. Dobbs told viewers that he was quitting his nightly show to concentrate on his role as a commentator and on advocacy journalism. Below is the video of his announcement.
According to CNN President Jonathan Klein, CNN respects Dobbs' decision to carry the banner of advocacy journalism elsewhere.
Lou Dobbs' resignation was hailed particularly by Latino activists who were seeking his ouster saying that "Dobbs does not belong on the most trusted name in news".
The question now is where will Lou Dobbs go and who will replace him as anchor of CNN.
