Geisy Arruda, the 20-year-old College student at Universidade Bandeirante, a private Brazilian university, in Sao Bernardo do Campo, outside Sao Paulo, has been expelled after students violently protested her wearing a short, pink dress to class. She was publicly accused on Sunday of immorality. In a statement by the university, Geisy Arruda disrespected "ethical principles, academic dignity and morality."

In a Catholic country like Brazil, I think it's best to know where are the appropriate places to wear revealing clothes. Although these people are semi-naked in beaches, it doesn't mean that they should be in schools. In the case of Geisy Arruda, I guess she might have already known the policy of the school, yet she still wear the mini dress. It's just so sad that the consequence for doing so was expulsion.
